New York, New York! The Empire State building.

Another great day for Teenz in the City at the Empire State Building!  In order to travel to the Empire State Building, teens were able to use a smartphone/iPad to locate the street address.  The group decided that due to the proximity of the Empire State Building that walking was a viable option on this beautiful summer day.  Upon arrival, we participated in a virtual ride, which provided a tour and history of New York City. Afterwards, we traveled to the 86th floor observation deck and took in the amazing view of our city.  Despite the chaos and many tourists, everyone did an excellent job and exercised flexibility and patience, while waiting on line. We went through trivia and facts on the Empire State Building as well. While traveling to and from the Empire State Building, we practiced using Google maps and reading street signs.  This is something we will continue to focus on through the duration of our group!
